1Question creates value when we replace 1 minute of recreational screen time (eg. Gaming, Streaming, Social apps) with 1 minute of educational screen time. We call these ‘Learning Minutes’. In November, we hit a high of delivering 15,550 questions in a single day! That equates to roughly 2,650 Learning Minutes.
This year we opened up 1Question to 17 new markets on 3 new continents. In 2023, we plan to expand even further!
We are Parents, AI experts, Gamification gurus and Growth specialists. All absolutely obsessed with making screen time productive.
With members of our team in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, USA and Greece. We’re working with the best!

1Question was a Finalist at The Edtech Cool Tool Awards.
We won the best Mobile App in the Australian Web Awards. Co-finalists – Australia Post, Expression Australia and QSuper Group.
Each year the ASU+GSV Summit welcomes pre-seed and seed-stage EdTech startups to apply to compete in the GSV Cup.
In June 2022, we were featured at the Apple WorldWide Developer Conference (WWDC) conference.
The WWDC is the most important and watched event for the Apple
ecosystem. During last year’s WWDC, Apple announced the release of the Screen Time API in iOS 15. We were the first app in the world to utilise this API to gamify screen time. As a result, we’ve been lucky enough to develop a relationship with Apple. Over the past year, we lobbied Apple to fix certain bugs, introduce new features and remove constraints in the Screen Time API.
1Question made semi-finalist in the GSV Cup’s Elite 200, in the largest application pool yet and attended the ASU+GSV Summit in San Diego, a global pitch competition for Pre-Seed and Seed stage EdTech startups. 1Question’s achievement was reported on by Busy Continent and Tech Business News.
In March, 1Question launched on the App Store in the U.S. (the world’s first mobile app to gamify and reward screen time through educational content), receiving strong coverage across multiple TV and online news publications including, KTLA, Spectrum News, Pix 11, dot.LA, Digital Trends, LA Startups, Yahoo Finance and in September was notably featured in the ‘Good Finds’ section of The Wall Street Journal’s Family Tech Newsletter.
Thank you to everyone who made our remarkable 2022 possible.
As 1Question continues to evolve and our team continues to grow,
we look to the future and wish our users nothing but the utmost joy
and of course productive screen time!
Happy Silly Season to you and yours from all at 1Question.
