Learning time

Landforms are the different shapes the land can take here on earth. Valleys, canyons, and plateaus are three different examples of these landforms. Valleys are the low ground between two hills or mountains. So, when you have high ground on both sides, the low ground in the middle is called a valley. Canyons are a specific type of valley. They are formed when a river is running through an area, and it creates a very sharp decline down to the river in between two hills or mountains. A famous example of this is the Grand Canyon in the United States which you can see in this picture here. A plateau is it's kind of like a mountain but instead of having a peak or a point at the top, it's kind of flat at the top so it is a flat ground that is very high up.
