Growth Mindset micro-lesson

Do you struggle with balancing your kids’ screen time with their education? Say hello to 1Question, the app that solves this problem with a fun twist! Our app lets your child earn screen time minutes in their favourite apps by watching educational videos and correctly answering quiz questions. And the best part? You get to decide which apps to lock behind learning using 1Question.

Learning time

Kids learn by watching short, engaging video lessons.

This lesson is all about growth mindset. So people who have a growth mindset believe that intelligence is not fixed and we can always get better at something with practice. This is in contrast to those who have a fixed mindset who believe we are born either good or bad at something and we cannot change this. If you have a growth mindset, you also believe that challenges and setbacks are a normal part of learning. This means you don't get so discouraged when you find something hard. People with a growth mindset encourage others to give them feedback on how they can get better at something. Those with a fixed mindset tend not to want feedback in case they have to face their weaknesses. Scientists have shown that people with a growth mindset tend to be better at learning new things as they are more open to the process. So how do we get a growth mindset? Well, the first step is easy. Just knowing about growth mindset encourages you to have one.
