Living things can be sorted into different groups. An expert that classifies animals for living is known as a Taxonomist. Taxonomists sort animals into different classes. These include mammals. Mammals breathe using their lungs and give birth to their young live, they include whales, dolphins, and humans. Reptiles have dry, scaly skin these include crocodiles, snakes, and lizards. Amphibians are characterised by their slimy skin, such as frogs and toads. Birds have feathers and beaks such as owls, eagles, and finches. Fish breathe in water using their gills such as tuna, salmon, and clownfish. Insects include caterpillars, ants and beetles. Other groups include crustaceans such as lobsters and crabs, arachnids such as spiders and such as earthworms and leeches, and other species groups such as arthropods.
