Learning time

Kids learn by watching short, engaging video lessons.

So, habitat’s an area or natural environment where plants, animals, humans, or other organisms live. It’s where they can find food, water, shelter, and even a mate. There are so many living things on this planet, and that means there are so many habitats in which they might live. Some of these habitats could be really big like for example deserts, mountains, rivers, coral reefs or rainforests. Some of them, though, could be really small like for example in a log or under a rock or even like in the grasses behind me. A polar bear lives in the Arctic habitat where it’s cold and icy, and that’s where it finds its food. But a flea, for example, might live on the back of a dog, and that’s where it finds it food, water, shelter, and even sometimes a mate. There are many things that can change or alter a habitat. Some of these might include pollutions, floods, burning, removal of trees or even clearing space for humans.
