Learning time

Kids learn by watching short, engaging video lessons.

If you’re trying to solve a multiplication problem where you are multiplying any number by 3, there is a trick you can use to help you solve these problems. So, we are going to look at 6 x 3 to look at this. So, to help us in our brains, first, we're going to think of what 6 x 2 is. So, to solve this, you can think of just doubling 6. So, think of what 6 + 6 is which is 12. So, we're going to think of 12 in our heads, but we know that we're multiplying by 3 not times 2, so you have to add one more. So, we're going to add one more group of 6 to this. So, you have 12 + 6 which equals 18, and that is the answer to 6 x 3.
