Calming Colors micro-lesson

Do you struggle with balancing your kids’ screen time with their education? Say hello to 1Question, the app that solves this problem with a fun twist! Our app lets your child earn screen time minutes in their favourite apps by watching educational videos and correctly answering quiz questions. And the best part? You get to decide which apps to lock behind learning using 1Question.

Learning time

Kids learn by watching short, engaging video lessons.

You may remember that a mindful minute is a quick break that helps you re-energise and refocus your brain when you're feeling overwhelmed or frustrated or stressed. This strategy is calming colours. You will need to keep your eyes open so that you can be mindful of two things. One is your breathing and two is what you see around you. We’re going to choose a colour to focus on. Try to simply use your eyes to look around the room. With each object of colour that you find take a deep inhale and exhale. Let’s try this together, look at this scene with a focus colour of green. Let your eyes rest on one green thing, take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Now move your eyes to another green thing, deep breath in and out. Once you've found 4-5 objects of your colour and taken 4-5 deep breaths, you should be ready to get back to work. If you need more time, you can always choose another colour and try again. Just remember this should only take a minute or two before you get back to it.
