Practice Makes Progress micro-lesson
Do you struggle with balancing your kids’ screen time with their education? Say hello to 1Question, the app that solves this problem with a fun twist! Our app lets your child earn screen time minutes in their favourite apps by watching educational videos and correctly answering quiz questions. And the best part? You get to decide which apps to lock behind learning using 1Question.
Learning time
Kids learn by watching short, engaging video lessons.
Everybody knows that if you want to become better at something, you need to practise. That's why coaches have practices before games and why you work through practice math problems before your big test. Believe it or not, you even had to practice walking way long ago when you were just a little baby. But did she know that you can actually set yourself up for better practice? Let me show you how. Before your practice you need to ask yourself, what am I doing well and what could I be doing better? Asking yourself these two questions will help you set a realistic and achievable goal. Something like - I want to be the perfect writer - won't work. Instead, a smaller, more focused goal like - I want to use paragraphs to organise my writing. During your practice, keep reminding yourself of your goal. You may even want to write it down somewhere so that you can say focus on it. After your practice, don't just move on to the next thing, take a moment to check in to see how it went. Did you achieve your goal? Or will continue to work on it the next time. Sometimes you might set a new goal before each practice, and other times you might keep the same goal for a while. No one is going to expect you to be perfect. After all, the purpose of practice is progress.
